Pygmalion
Gingold Theatrical Group
Shaw’s classic comedy where a flower girl transforms a professor—and herself—in unexpected ways.
In addition to cinematic transitions and diegetic sounds, Pygmalion was enhanced through subtle use of stage microphones to enhance Eliza’s yelps, and provide otherwordly reverberance to her final line of the play. Intermission was preceded by a stylized teaching montage, featuring snippets of unseen lessons between her and Higgins, underscored by ragtime music.
